Alpha3 has developed procedures and tools for integrating estimates with cost tracking and schedule controls that we can tailor to work with your organization. These tools allow us to develop real-time performance assessments, which we present in Cost & Schedule Reports. We can also integrate data from accounting systems into customized spreadsheets that can be used by project managers and other project personnel for analysis, reporting, change management, or preparation of future estimates. Our processes enabled one client to save 200 man-hours of labor each month by automating cost tabulation across all projects in its program.

Alpha3 is currently providing CPM scheduling services for three school construction projects in New Jersey with a total value of $55 million. Our services have included the development of cost-loaded CPM schedules, updating, and development of recovery plans to overcome project delays. Alpha's approach to CPM scheduling emphasizes use of the schedule as a management and communication tool to keep contractors, design and construction management professionals, and owners on the same page so that resources are optimized, disputes are minimized, and delays can be effectively mitigated. Alpha3 works to assist owner's and contractors complete their projects on time, while paying attention to project budgets and understanding that the approach to the work is always tied closely with the cost of performance.
Alpha3 is currently providing project engineering services to Power Project Management, LLC on capital construction and maintenance work for a major independent power generator. We have supported the project manager with project controls development including WBS development, work package definition, CPM scheduling, and development of management presentations. Due to environmental and budgeting concerns, large portions of the scope of work supported by Alpha3 have been redefined several times and have been subject to significant delays. Alpha3 has provided services on an as-needed basis, allowing the client to support the needs of its projects in a timely manner, without hiring additional staff for projects that have an uncertain future. |
