Events | Fall Conferences and Presentations 2022
Alpha 3 personnel will be attending, presenting, training, and participating in several events beginning later this month and continuing through November.
From September 22-24, Director of Projects, Mark Sanders will be participating in the first international congress of the Latin American Community of Construction Experts (CLAPEC). The theme of the congress will be Best Practices for Experts in Construction Contract Arbitration in Latin America. Mark will be hosting a roundtable discussion on Saturday, September 24, in which a group of experts will discuss best practices for evaluating time extensions and changes in performance conditions on construction projects.
Mark will also be attending the ABA Forum on Construction Law’s fall meeting in Memphis, TN, from September 28-30. The theme of the meeting will be Building the Next Generation: Learning from the Past. Topics will include the experiences of the presenters and recent construction law cases.
From October 3-5, Alpha 3’s Michele Mullin and Matt Marzilli will be attending Experience POWER in Aurora, CO. The industry’s premier conference covers all aspects of the electric power sector, including the global energy transition to cleaner power sources. The conference will be co-located with the Distributed Energy Conference and HydrogeNext.
Senior Partner, Marnie Masiello, along with Mark Sanders and David Chigne, will be attending the Project Controls Expo in Washington, D.C., from October 4-6. Mark and David will be presenting on Thursday, October 6, on the Use of New Technologies in Project Management and IPD Governance: An Approach to Blockchain and Smart Contracts. Their presentation will take a practical approach to reviewing proposed and actual implementations of blockchain technology in the construction industry.
Mark will be presenting six training sessions on change management, claims management, and forensic schedule analysis to a private company from September 13 through November 10.
Finally, on November 9, at AACE International’s Southern California Chapter, Alpha 3’s Matt Marzilli will present on his experience as an owner’s project scheduler for the Metro Washington Airports Authority’s Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project in Washington D.C.
