#IWD2021 | Alpha 3 Attends EUCI Women in Engineering and Construction Conference
Alpha 3’s Michele Mullin attended EUCI’s two-day virtual conference on March 2nd and 3rd. A fitting way to kick off Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day 2021 #ChooseToChallenge, the conference focused on women leaders, STEM, diversity, equity, and inclusion, amongst other topics. Of the conference, Michele says:
“It is so inspiring to see women rise in a male dominated industry; persevering and challenging the status quo to pave the way for not only themselves, but other females as well. Listening to the panels and presenters over the 2 days has given me a renewed sense of confidence in my abilities to meet challenges head on and never stop learning.”
Over the past 4 years, Alpha 3 staff has participated in EUCI events for Gas-Insulated Substations, Women in Engineering & Construction, and Leadership for Women in Energy. Senior Partner, Marnie Masiello, attended a 2019 conference in Richmond, VA. She echoes Michele’s feeling of inspiration:
“I was awed by the level of professional, powerful women in the utility industry sharing their personal and professional stories. Truly an inspiring conference with many tangible tools empowering women to believe in themselves and realize they can break the glass ceiling.”
