Presentations | Mark Sanders to AACE International

Alpha 3’s Mark Sanders made a virtual presentation to the Qatar Section of AACE International on January 27 outlining the underlying concepts for CPM delay analysis on capital projects. The presentation expanded on the paper, The Theory of Delay, from the 2020 AACE International Conference & Expo. 

The discussion addressed the questions What is delay? and What is the theory behind each of the available delay measurement techniques? The scientific method of inquiry was applied to establish a firm logical foundation to support the sound application of analysis techniques. Examples were presented to explain why certain techniques have a stronger theoretical basis than others and how to consistently apply techniques based on objective criteria.
