Alpha 3 Attends Gas-Insulated Substation Conference

Alpha 3’s Josh Markle, Wayne Mosley, Stephanie Sanders, and Mark Sanders attended EUCI’s gas-insulated substation conference, held at Pepco’s Edison Place from January 29-30. The conference included an overview of Pepco’s Benning Road Substation GIS project and culminated with a tour of the new Waterfront substation, which was placed into service in December. Topics also included 3D GIS conceptual design, design options associated with local control cabinets, SF6 regulations, and potential future alternatives to SF6.
