Egg Harbor Township School Construction Program
Egg Harbor Township, NJ contracted with Tamburro Brothers for the construction of the Davenport and Slaybaugh Primary Schools and major additions and renovations at the Intermediate and High Schools. The primary and intermediate school projects all were to be completed for occupancy by the start of the 2007-2008 school year, and the simultaneous transition to the three new facilities was described as “the perfect storm” by the district’s superintendent. Alpha 3 provided CPM scheduling services for all of the projects, using Primavera’s P5 software and provided custom reports that included float analysis and progress photos for critical activities. Alpha 3 met with the contractor, the NJ School Development Authority, the construction manager, and the school district to discuss the status of the projects in early 2007 and to discuss the forecast for completion of the projects. At that meeting, the team reviewed and agreed on the current plans, and all three projects were successfully completed for occupancy at the start of the 2007-2008 school year. Alpha 3 provided CPM scheduling services for the additions and renovations to the high school starting in the summer of 2008. The project was successfully completed in 2010.
